Knowing that story, I would totally choose Louisa or Louise nn Lucy.

We are also actually thinking of Louise/Louisa for a girl too!!!! It's my middle name, and my grandmothers mn. We would call her Lulu.


Personally, I see Lucy as it's own name, or more closely associated with the other names you mentioned, Lucia, Lucinda, etc.


But I think you could definitely use Lucy as a NN for Louise/Louisa.
