2009 has almost come to a close; did you keep/complete your 2009 New Year’s Resolution?

I don't make resolutions, especially if I am not going to stick to it.

This year I worked on reaching out to people and rebuilding my social life. My life had taken a path where I'd had practically no social life and where I had no strong networks of friends even though I know a lot of people.

It wasn't easy at times, but 9 months later I do have a couple of groups of friends and a handful of friends whom I tend to see one-on-one. These are people whom I see regularly, and who have been a very good source of support and comfort. My social life has also picked up considerably, too :-)

Right now, I am starting to work on being healthy and strong. There are no major health problems, but I want to tackle the excess weight before it balloons even more out of control and cause a health problem. I've also decided that I really want to have good core muscles and be fit.

I don't really make resolutions either. But I set some goals. One of my goals was to finish my dissertation and get my PhD before the year is over. My other goal was to get this job that I really wanted. I worked really hard this entire year of 2009 and I have to say I just graduated with my PhD and got the job in August. It was a great year in retrospect.

My resolution for 2009 was to be the best mom I can be since I was preggers then and so far, I think I'm doing a pretty good job-lol

Not sure about next year- perhaps it's to finally go to law school and make the big move overseas- how can I teach my child about following her dreams if I hadn't followed mine?

Do you have a certain branch of law you’d like to get into?

I didn't really have any resolutions for the new year. My goals were to finish college, find a job and lose the 10 lbs that I gained. I did graduate and lost most of the weight that I gained (still have about 3-4 lbs to go). I am working at Macy's right now but that has nothing to do what I went to school for (nursing). Plus I am working for practically nothing (after taxes). I still like my job though. Plus the discount will really help with Christmas shopping! I was really worried that the holidays would be a lot more stressful since I was out of work.
