We have had a few looks. Not as many as other areas since a lot of people speak Spanish around here. We get way more looks if we go on vacation to Wisconsin. I don't think people are used to seeing mixed couples in some areas. There aren't many Mexicans in some areas of the U.S. (besides migrant workers). And to see a tall Mexican like DH (6'2") married to a white woman is probably a little surprising. People really looked at us when we went to the store (in a small town) with my mom's friend with her adopted DD (from Guatemala).

I voted sometimes because depending upon where we are and what we are doing we can get looked at oddly.

DD is (and has always been) average for height. DS has always been small for his size. We are talking to his doctor about Julian possibly having something "wrong". He eats nonstop and still has problems gaining weight. Right now the doctors said he is on his way to being 5'6". Considering both mine (5'9") and DH's height, that is pretty short. They are doing some more tests and may refer us to a specialist.

Sometimes, yes. I've nearly always have had foreign boyfriends, and if we are vacationing to remote areas we would get stares or people would smile at us or come talk to him (well, him but I would get to translate LOL). It's somewhat less so now here in Jakarta, but not when I was first back here in the late 80s.
