How would you help teach your toddler a foreign language?
When my DS was a toddler
No, we just talked, read and sung to him from when he was a baby. I was fairly much consistent is speaking English with him when he was smaller, even though we would only see each other once a week at the most.
You know, he only started to really bond with me when he was 4. That day he came by and I greeted him at the door, I could see that there was a "click" in his head. It might have been really the first time that he actually heard and understood me perfectly and that who I was and why I spoke English made sense to him. It just felt that way.
It's a pity that my other brother didn't live here. If he had, he could have been the one speaking English to my nephew and I could have spoken to him in French!
This article came in handy. I have been pointing to objects and saying what they are in English- but can I say it in the other 2 languages as well right after without confusing her?
Sorry to hear about the carpal tunnel.
Thanks for the article- I had delayed french class and I think I'll register her for the spring class- German may be something we would need to learn together, lol
I think that’s a great idea to take German together.
Sorry to hear that your DH’s surgery was unsuccessful.
