My first job was as the PR of the French Cultural Center here. We were very active at that time, there was always a few things going on each on. I also proofread the Asterix comics for a local publisher. I did translation work for a company here that supplied shoes to a big chain in France.

Later on I learned Italian so that I can go to jewellery school in Italy, and for a couple of years I worked with a fashion consultancy that helped their clients, high-end fashion houses in the US and Tokyo, manage the production of their shoes and handbags line in Europe (mainly in Italy but later on also in France).

I do French to English translations, and also Italian to English translations. I've done some simultaneous translations, holy smokes that is something else.

I also teach Introduction to Darkroom Printing in French, and that really is demanding.

Yes Ma'am, as in film photography. Does anyone still do it? Surprisingly, yes, and not just me. Those who do either use colour slide film or do black and white negatives, which is mainly what I do. There aren't a huge number of us, but still, we haven't completely abandoned our film cameras!
