Since I've already posted with a question, I should probably say "Hello", huh?

I started to say hi to you this afternoon and then my friends arrived at the cafe so I closed my laptop.

It's great to see you here, Jackie!

What languages are the other libraries offering activities in?

We're not doing ANYTHING yet (remember, I've only "officially" been on the job for three months), but I'm looking to change that.

Is there a demand (however small) for this service, and if there is, what languages are they asking for?

A survey went out a while back, asking people what they'd like to see, and classes such as these were on the list.

"So are you looking to have a volunteer come into the library to teach the basics of a foreign language?"

Well, paid might increase your chances of finding someone.

Hi Jackie!

Our little local library (try saying that fast!) doesn't offer anything like this, but it sounds really neat. I'd guess there have to be some kids books out there that teach words in other languages as part of the story line? Hopefully other than Dora, lol. I think that's where my kids learned all of their Spanish.

The world cultures theme next summer sounds like a great venue to launch a program like that.

Best of luck!
