Sounds interesting, & since I trust your judgement I have requested it from my library! :o)

Okay, I'm a bit behind on reading reviews.

My library has a bunch of Elizabeth Berg's books and I was wondering if they are a series. I looked up The Year of Pleasures at B&N and it said something about "the familiar protagonist." Any suggestions on what to try first?

I don't think Year of Pleasures was part of a series. I think by "familiar protagonist" the review means that Berg usually writes about the lives of women in crisis.

She does have a trilogy that I highly recommend. The main character is teenager Katie Nash, and the books, in order, are Durable Goods, Joy School, and True to Form. Katie's mother has died, and she's living with her cold military father, and in the first book, also her older teen sister.

No! I didn't know that. Cool! It will probably be next year before my library gets it, but that's OK.
