The undomestic Goddess - Sophie Kinsella

This was a nice easy read. Even in its more "serious" moments it was light. The story line was a bit unbelievable, but at the end of the day, the message itself was spot on.

I'd call this chic-lit for sure, but the romance aspect was definetly not the main focus of the book. As you watch Samantha's life unravelling before your very eyes you can't help but feel for her. Nice bits of humor mixed in to keep it fairly upbeat. I read this cover to cover in just a day reading on and off, so it was for sure, a nice easy one. Perfect to take to the beach or sit with a cup of hot chocolate in front of the fire.

Was this the one about the lawyer who ran away & became a housekeeper? I agree--unlikely premise. But a good book.

That would be the one! I mean, the ending surely make sense overall, but the general premise through out is a tad far fetched.
