I really enjoyed this book! It was mystical and creepy and exciting all in one.

I read the jacket of this one and thought it sounded really odd (I know it is a Stephen King book!) and a bit confusing. Why did you like it? What other books by him would you compare it too? I am trying to decide if I should try it!

Thanks!

Hmm... It's hard to say just why I liked it.

You know what book of his it reminded me of? Rose Madder. With the whole painting thing, etc it was the same "fantasy escape" type of scenario. This one definetly takes a bit to get used to the writing style (jumping back and forth in time), but by page 200 you should be able to just relax and knock back the next 300 without breaking a sweat.

Yes, I guess it had that same fantasy feel, but I don't remember any painting in Lisey's Story. Writing, yes, painting, no.

No I didn't mean it had the same painting in it. I meant that both books had an "altered reality" type realm in them.
