I like this series very much. When I started reading them, they felt very different to me. Different from other vampire series, I mean. As I read these, they are very much about class. Sookie's world and Bill's too, is so very far removed from the vampires in Anne Rice's series or Anita Blake's world in Larell K. Hamilton's series. Sookie's job is important to the plot, setting & characters
