I just started "Shopaholic Ties the Knot" by Sophie Kinsella. Not enough into it to have formed an opinion, yet, but I loved the others by her, so I am hoping that I am not disappointed.

Hi all! I just finished reading "East of Eden" by John Steinbeck. I read it before and after I moved. I really enjoyed it. It was an epic novel spanning several generations of 2 families. A main theme of the book is good vs. evil and free will of the individual to choose their own path. The book has references to Cain and Abel and even has two generations of brothers named similar names (Charles and Adam then sons Cal and Aron).

I am now a little way into the 5th Harry Potter. My DH got to read it first and with the move it took me quite a while to finish "East of Eden". Too bad someone already let it slip about who dies in the book. :-)

Just finished "Lincoln's Dreams" by Connie Willis. Thinking about starting "The Boy Next Door" by Meggin Cabot. I've read the first couple pages and it hasn't hooked me yet, so I might start reading something else instead.

You should also read her book "The Samurai's Garden." Absolutely amazing, quick read and wonderful. One of my all time favorites. Enjoy!

The Angel with One Hundred Wings by Daniel Horch.

the book jacket says it's a novel based on one of the Tales of the Arabian Nights. It takes place in Baghdad around 850A.D. It's very slow moving. I have about 100 pages left.

I was wondering if there was a sequel because it ended a bit abrupbtly. I'll check it out.

Thanks,

When the Emporer was Divine by Julie Otsuka

It's about one family in the Japanese internment camps of WWII.
