Up until yesterday, I have only put in requests for books that are on shelf at another library. Those usually take a few days to get. It just depends what library it comes from. Yesterday, however, I put in a request for 2 "on shelf" books and
I hate it when it takes forever to get a book you really want to read! I waited a long time for the last Mary Higgins Clark book I read. Does your libary let you put holds on books online? Mine will post new books to be released 3 months in advance on their website and you can place holds before they are even released. I check the site every 2 weeks or so and place holds on books a few months in advance. That way, I am usually closer to the top of the list when the book hits the bookstores and the libraries. I know I have a Patterson on hold that isn't being released until Spetember.
