Okay, with two Kindles in the family, I have a question. I share books w/ DH all the time. Can you share books between the two Kindles? Seems like it should have an option to do that within a family like that - we can share cell phone minutes after all...
Okay, I have two questions. ;-) What is better on the DX than the version your DH has?

Yes, you can share books b/w Kindles that are registered to the same account. Only exception is magazine and newspaper subs. You can have up to 6 family members on one kindle acct.
The DX is larger more like a hardback book, holds 3500 vs 1500 books on regular Kindle, new e-ink screen w/better contrast. It also comes in the new color graphite.
With regular kindle I had to set the font much larger than what DH was comfortable with. I think with the larger kindle I'll be able to read more on a page so i'm not constantly hitting "next".
For us it's definitely worth the price b/c we are both big readers. Also, our local library is VERY small. We've been buying books for years and we are totally out of space. So we are definitely all set now! I'll die if there is another price slash though ;-)
I imagine that they'll be like computers where a new version for a cheaper price will come out every few months or so. I've just learned to be happy that we got a good deal on whatever we did buy whenever we bought it. :) It just really stinks when it's the next day or week!
Thanks for the info on that. We might have to invest in these some day! I'm glad to hear you can share :)
Woo hoo! That is the best anniversary present ever!!!
What an awesome anniversary gift!!! Enjoy!
