Does soy really cause low supply?(M)

I have been eating tons of soy (especially in the form of frozen non-dairy non-sugar dessert) every day. My supply has been up and down for the past 6 months or so but I can't tell if it's related (ds is 2 yrs old) to soy or not. I certainly don't want to risk lowering my supply by eating lots of soy. So does anyone know if it really is true that soy lowers milk supply? (I read it somewhere once)

I have never heard of it doing that, but I have heard of it supressing your immune system.

I eat soy as part of a normal non-vegetarian diet and I have not noticed

any supply problems (we are nursing almost 12 months). If you are concerned,

definitely try to eat it in moderation (everything in moderation!) and

see if you notice a difference. Try switching on and off between those desserts

and ones made with either rice milk or fruit juice if you are trying to

avoid cows milk.
