A CM is an iVillage Community Moderator. And actually, I have no idea how to become on. Maybe someone from iVillage will answer you here (I did pass your question on).

On the other hand, a CL is Community Leader, which is what I am. That is an easy thing to do. It is not a paid position, but it is a fun one. To find out more, go to:

Hi snoopy, a CM is a community moderator. The community moderators oversee the various groups at ivillage. For example, there is a community moderator who oversees the various readers and writers boards and chats, one for the various parenting boards and chats, and so on. I'm not sure how you become a cm.

You may be asking about the Cls? Cls are community leaders. They volunteer to help host various boards and chats within a community -- ie Readers and Writers. To become a cl, you need to apply to the CM for the group or board you are interested in. Our CM for the Readers and Writers community is Christine Mattoni. Her email address is cmattoni@mail.ivillage.com.

Thank you both for your help...i really want to be a cl but i dont know which board needs one.
