It's hard to believe 2 years have passed since 9/11/01, isn't it? My memories of that day are as clear as if it happened yesterday.

Good Morning, sweet Karen. I found out last night I'm still able to cry when I see those planes hit the towers. Special prayers go out to families of the victims and to our leaders, military and our country. (((((((((Love)))))))))Pam

Good Morning, ladies. Wherever you are this morning, please stop what you are doing, if you can, to take a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. The time the 1st plane hit and our innocence was destroyed when the cruel world of terrorists struck America.

I still hear that thud in my head every now and then. (I work 10 minutes away from the Pentagon).

Light a candle, say a prayer, attend a rememberance service at your church, donate blood. Do whatever you can in rememberance.

Blessings and Peace,

Becky

Good Morning, Karen. As I saw images of September 11, 2001 on the tv this morning, I couldn't keep the tears from my eyes. That day changed our world and it will never be the same. What tears me up is watching this country systematically eliminate all recognition of God. Now I hear of atheists who will sue if the WTC "cross" is part of the memorial. Why is God allowing these things?

I don't understand that either, E.

I remember singing Jesus loves me in school, and saying the Pledge, and in my life it has always included the words UNDER GOD, and this country was founded on that principle, and has fought to preserve it, and then our own turn on it?? I just don't understand. They want money changed, and we always said the Lord's Prayer in the locker room before a game. We brought guns to school, and kept them in our locker, which were not locked, because we had gun training courses after school, out behind the school, taught by the school. We were taught to respect others, teachers, and stuff like that. I just don't get it today where you CAN'T pray in school, and stuff like that.

Where have our values gone??? OK, I am ranting, sorry!

Hugs,

-Dawn

2 Years HAS gone so fast, but I have seen the time pass as my goddaughter, Cassidy, has grown. Today is her 5th birthday, and it's almost impossible for me to fathom the contradiction of today's date as the best of life, as well as the worst.

Hugs to all of my buddies,

(((((E)))))) I firmly agree with you that the elimination of God from our lives, public and private, is the cause of so much of the discord in society/family today. But I also firmly believe that God does not 'allow' this to happen. He chose, wisely or not, to allow His children to make their own choices, and some of us don't do such a great job. I think He sheds tears over what is going on, as well, but it's up to whoever cares about upholding His laws that will change the course of things. I wish I knew what to do that would have any impact, but I think that those of us who teach our children His ways will make the world a better place in the end.

Sorry for rambling, but I feel SO strongly on this subject (and have very little outlet to express it!)...

Big hugs, and peace to you, E,

Roni

I've been thinking about your question, Elaine. I guess for me the answer is that we have choices. If we didn't, our faith would really mean much of anything. He could force us to love and respect Him, but what would that kind of love be worth? That's the best I can figure out.

I've found tears in my eyes a lot today too. I don't imagine any of us who lived through that day getting to the point where it doesn't hurt to see those pictures.

I've been praying all day. Thank goodness God never gets tired of hearing from us.

If I wasn't so worn out, I'd climb up there on that soapbox with you, Dawn! I don't get it either, but since praying is all I can figure out to do, I'm going to pray with all my might and let God figure out the rest.
