We had a blast!! We spent way too much money, and we'll be "paying" for it later (no pun intended), but we had fun. ... and we ALMOST came home with another HARLEY!! ;-)

Well, John ALWAYS has motorcycle fever, but I have to admit that with the weather cooling off just a little and driving around on these quiet country roads makes me wish we were on a bike ... and then when we looked at a couple and they cranked them up for us, just the sound makes me giddy all over and I want to go ride NOW! LOL

Let's see ... what did we buy? I bought a big scented candle and candle holder for the living room, a cool-looking, platinum-colored message board with red lips on it to put by my desk to put Mary Kay reminders on, a couple motorcycle themed shadow boxes for John to put in our Americana room (which is quickly turning into an Americana/motorcycle museum! (John says it works because Harleys are American-made! LOL) And I bought some new clothes and fall boots for work from JC Penney on Friday. Got a great deal on them! I got 3 pairs of boots at 40-50% off and several outfits for less than $200!! I bought a cute litte Santa Clause with an orange University of Tennessee sweatshirt on to go with my Clothique Santa collection. Since I'm a Tennesseean now, we HAD to have UT Santa! And then finally, I bought some gift basket makings (shrink wrap, ribbons, bows, basket fillers, Hershey kisses) so I can put together several Mary Kay gift baskets for an Open House I'm thinking of having at my house next month. Oh, one more thing ... we also stopped at an Amish bakery where we picked up some sweet potato butter for my Mom and Dad and some homemade pear jam and sourdough bread. What a day!! For the record, we don't splurge like that very often, and this certainly wasn't the best week to splurge this time, but we had fun. ;-)

LOL Clothique is a line of collectible Santas made by Possible Dreams. They are made of resin, paper mache, and fabric. You can find them mostly in year-round Christmas stores.

About the Harleys ... yes, you can rent them. For $150 per day and no more than 100 miles!! At those rates, I think we could make a killing by buying one and renting ours out!! LOL Just kidding! The liability would eat us up. ;-)
