Good morning, Karen! Well, it's time to start ornament shopping, if nothing else! Now that Jensen's birthday is behind us, I can start focusing on maybe getting a tree erected! THAT is my favourite part of Christmas prep! Well, baking is my actual favourite, but tree-erecting doesn't go to my hips!

Have a wonderful last day of November!!

I cannot believe how close we are! I have not even started shopping! The good thing is that my family has decided not to do presents this year in light of everything else that's going on. It will just be an added burden on everyone this year. This year...FINALLY, we're concentrating on FAMILY instead of gifts! That's where I've been trying to get to for years! ;-)

You know, God can find a way to make blessings out of almost anything, can't He?

Amen to that, Cindy! I would love to never get meaningless material

We put some lights up on the house yesterday, first story only. Bruce is trying to rig something to get the lights on the second story, without getting on the roof.

Tonight we will put more of our Christmas stuff outside. I think we have 2 trees, a snow man, and 2 deer, all with lights.

We have all of our *to be shipped* presents bought, and we have plenty of time left for the others.

Hugs,

-Dawn

Let me know what Bruce figures out about the second story lights! Our house would look so pretty with those icicle lights all along the roof, but we have the same problem. Those gables are just too high! And the roof is so steep, I'd hate for John to get up there. (Really, I wouldn't mind him getting up there; it's the falling off that I was concerned about.) ;-)

Will do Cindy!

It is actually quite comical, and if it works, pure genius! He has a 16 foot ladder (that is as high as I will let him go) and an extention pole, that he is going to rig to hold a hook tight enough that he can screw into the bottom of the roof board, and then use the same pole to put up icicle lights.

I will let you know if it works.

Hugs,

-Dawn
