It's Saturday!  My shopping blitz is basically finished - still have a few odds and ends to pick up and grocery shopping to do.  I'm also waiting for a few things to be delivered.  After last Thursday's experience, I'm more than a little nervous about that! ;o)  Today I have to go to the post office, clean and tidy, put up a last few decorations, and finish filling out some local Christmas cards.  That oughta keep me out of trouble, huh?

Wazzup with you this weekend, Buddies?

Did you manage to stay outta trouble?? Or did it follow you around all day? GOL

I awoke with Wayne (he leaves for work at 6:10am), and then started in on my last bit of baking (white chocolate cranberry cookies....too good for words). As soon as I finished, a girlfriend, Deb,

Let's see...what was I doing Saturday? We drove down to MS for Christmas at John's mom's house. We're usually left out of the loop, so we didn't know we didn't need to be there until dark AND we were supposed to have gifts for a "Dirty Santa" game! Oh well! Since we had extra time, I ran on down a little further South to see how my dad is doing since they moved him to the nursing home. (That place is awful!! I wanted to cry!) Came back to have Christmas with John's mom and all his sisters and brother, sold a bunch of Mary Kay to some of his sisters and a neice, and listened to a pesky brother-in-law try to sell me insurance the whole time we were there. I kept trying to get away, but he kept following me!! All in all, everything went fine though. John and I stayed at his mom's that night and helped her clean up the house and fill mugs for gifts at work the next morning. I enjoy having time to spend with her without all the other siblings and kids around. Of course, it doesn't hurt that his mom and step-dad think so highly of us, compared to the other siblings! LOL

We left there and delivered some peanut butter fudge to John's old boss. He was surprised that we remembered! We had promised him a batch at Christmastime back in March when John quit and moved to TN.
