Thank you, Amy! Sounds like the perfect way to celebrate the New Year to me! I am such a homebody.

Our town always has a family-centered party in our 'central park'. It runs from about noon, with figure skating shows and all sorts of entertainment, kids crafts, ice-skating on a small lake, free swimming at the local pool, etc., and ends around 8pm with fireworks. It's awesome (when it's not too cold which I am fearing it may be this year...it's -10F right now).

If it IS too cold, then your party sounds like the ticket!! ;o)

My New Years plans sound a lot like yours! I thought DH was going to have to work, but his load just got canceled today, so I guess he'll be around. We'll probably sit around the house in front of the fire watching movies too. Maybe we'll get around to taking down Christmas decorations too. I hope so, because if it doesn't get done then, there's no telling when we'll get it done! ;-)

Happy New Year back to ya!

Hi all! I had a great Christmas also. My kids are at a fun age right now to watch at Christmas, they are six and four. We went to my parents during Christmas Eve and then my DH parents for Christmas night. My SIL and I stayed up until 4 am (we all spend the night) and my MIL got up with the kids and let us sleep in. How nice! It went fast and now I have so much to put away :-(. Anyways, for New Years, we are going to friend's house about an hour and a half away and celebrating with their family, then we are staying to watch the Ohio State game! We are great fans, DH graduated from there. Hope you all have a wonderful night. Take care
