What am I going to do with these people around here?  They seem to think they have just as much right to use the computer as I do!!  The nerve!   I actually had to wait my turn today - humph!  I obviously have to re-educate a few people.....;o)

How's your Sunday been so far, Buddies??

Glad you finally got your time online!

I'm good today. John and I just got in from visiting a church. He's in the kitchen now making us sloppy joes for lunch (He even made breakfast this morning!), while I'm catching up online. Then he's going to watch the race, while I go shopping to see if I can find any more clothes for work and maybe some flowers to put around the goldfish pond.

J went clothes shopping with me last night, and I did manage to find a few pairs of pants and a few tops for warm weather so now I don't have to go to work naked. John even got a new wrench and some smell-goody stuff from Victoria Secret for himself out of the trip. The funny part is that the things John got didn't cost us anything. His dad had given him an old broken Craftsman wrench, so John took it to Sears and had them replace it since Craftsman tools are guaranteed for a lifetime. Then I had a $25 Reward card from VS, so I let John use that on himself. It's hard to find any cologne that smells good on John (must just be his body chemistry), but we found one at VS that smells SO GOOD! Anyway, I wish my share of the shopping spree had been as cost-free as his was!

Oh, yeah! I slept on our brand new mattresses for the first time last night and they are so soft and comfortable! The bed is REALLY high now though. Our bed was already pretty high, but these mattresses are even thicker, so I almost need a step to get up on it!

Hope you're all having a great weekend!

I saw some colorful snapdragons when we were at Home Depot Friday night. I'm thinking about getting those for the goldfish pond. Last year I had marigolds and lantana around it. When we bought the house, it had pansies around it. I also saw some tiny little pansies at a nursery that were both yellow and purple. Each tiny little flower had two yellow petals and two purple petals. They looked so unique!

How do you make them "roar"?? I don't remember my mom ever having snapdragons in her flowerbeds, so I'm not familiar with them. I just saw them and thought they were so pretty.

Cool! I'll have to try it! LOL

That reminds me of the "touch-me-nots" that my mom used to have in her flowerbed when I was young. If you barely touched the little buds, they popped open. It was so cool. I think my brother and I probably "popped" every one of them.

OK, I've got to tell you what all I bought for the goldfish pond 'cause I know you'll want to know! I got all different colored snap dragons: white, bright yellow, bright pink, light pink, and some that were kind of a variegated coral/pink. Then I got some hot pink (which looks dark purple to me!) verbena to cascade down the side, one bright red geranium, and some bugleweed(?) groundcover to go around the rocks. I love planting around the pond because it's such a small area, it doesn't take much work to make a big impact! Now I just have to figure out how to clean the pond without killing the fish. The little suckers keep multiplying, and I don't know how to catch them so I can get the extras out of there.
