(((Becky))) coming here and venting is way better than seeking comfort in chocolate. Some grown-ups can be SO immature, eh?? I hope you can resolve the issues (and if you can't, I hope there can be some peace and mutual respect,if nothing else).

Hi buddies.

My day started off as kind of a bummer...

We have 2 ducks, male and female, husband and wife that live in our community. We have no lake in our community, I think they live in the pool at night. They live in our park, where we walk the dogs and play tennis. The dogs always playfully want to chase them, and we let them kind of think they are (with their leashes still on). The ducks are always in the park, and always watch us play tennis. They are like our pets.

Well, this morning when I was leaving, one of them was dead on our community entrance road, and the other was just standing there by it, just looking so sad and lost. It broke my heart. I had to call Bruce at work and tell him, I was almost in tears. Now we are both very sad by this. We know they mate for life and I wonder what will happen to the one left alone?

I know, I am such a sap, but it is sad.

Awwwwww, that is sad. You're not a sap, you're big-hearted. I don't know what will happen to the mate, but I have to think that he/she will be just fine. Please don't worry too much, ok (((((((Dawn))))))).

Something similar happened last week in our area. There was always a bunny on our property, eating the weeds, and we saw him run-over on the side of the busy road that runs directly behind us. I was crying when I told Wayne that our bunny was killed. BUT yesterday morning there were TWO bunnies in our yard! Nature has a way of keeping things in balance.

So sorry your day has started off so sadly, Hugs,

Awwww, poor bunny!

I do have a big heart for animals. They just don't understand why things happen. You can't explain it to them, you know?

I can't wait to have a farm where I can keep all the ducks and bunnies safe, LOL!

Yup, a big farm would be the ticket!! Or fences to keep them off the busy roads...or people who take enough care when they drive to slow down...or...well, you know!! :o)

Dawn,

That is so sad, not a good way to start the day.

I wish I could say that eventually there will be peace among the masses, however, confidence is not high.
