New person looking for buddies

Hello everyone!  My name is Mary and am looking for some diet buddies to chat with and for accountability.  I started my weight loss journey back in January at 200 lbs and have lost 30 lbs since then.  I have been trying to make healthier food choices and to exercise for at least an hour 6 days a week.  I don't really want to "diet" as I want this to be a lifestyle change.  I fell off the wagon for the last 2 weeks and gained a few pounds back.  Now I am back focused on my goals and looking for others to talk to.

Welcome Mary and contratulations on your 30lb loss in such a short time! You are definitely doing something right. What kind of exercise are you doing?


I've been following a nutrition program I had taken years ago and going to a trainer as well as exercising at home. I have a treadmill and eliptical as well as hand weights. I just tried Jillian Michael's (Biggest Loser trainer) dvd for beginners and like it so much I've ordered it. I also have an ab lounge. I started out at 197lb in September and am down to as of Monday l56.5. I've been through plateaus which are very hard to accept but I'm also in peri-menopause so I can go months without a period and that's when the plateau's hit. I've learned to accept what my body is doing because it doesn't do any good to get upset. My main goal is l25lb but I really don't want any fat on me whatsoever. I'm a heart patient and need to get as healthy as I can.


So much for me rattling on. You have found the best support group around. Keep in touch and let us know what you're doing and how we can be of help. Sandy
