Hey ya'll

I am getting so frustrated and need some support/advice/kick in the butt/suggestions please.

I have been doing very well as far as following the South Beach way of eating.  I started my 'diet' on May 5, 08. I didn't weigh until May 14th and at time I weighed 234 (after a week of dieting, I know that I lost some I just don't know the weight I started at). For almost the last two weeks I have been at 226. The weight has varied on a daily basis. Sometimes I would weigh and it would be 226 next time it would be 228. Sometimes 227. Mostly though I am stuck at 226.4.

My clothes are looser I fee ok but I am so so so frustrated by the scale not moving.

Oh, I feel your pain, but unfortunately I have no advice!

My scale has been fluctuating and stuck this past week despite my serious efforts. I think sometimes the body just gets word of what's happening and freaks out, ya know? Just stick at it and eventually you'll see the scale will move again for ya! The body just has to get used to the idea again or something =)

If your clothes are looser and your feeling good, just keep going with it and ignore the scale for a bit. Sometimes the body will plateau for awhile and then go down, or you could be gaining muscle too which reduces body volume not really weight.

But, I feel your pain. I haven’t moved in a week! I'd really just like to chuck the flippin scale across the room and start eating pie/cake but that would sadly be anti-productive and probably put me past the starting point in the wrong direction... So, I'm gunna try to drink more water, move around a bit more at work, or go a few minutes longer on a machine at the gym, and keep at it.

Don’t get discouraged!!! If you keep it up, I’m sure things will work out!

Enjoy the Simple.

Oh, boy, can't we all relate to THAT feeling. ((((Hugs)))). The only advice I have is look at the big picture and long-term success. Both involve being patient and perservering, and staying the course no matter what the short-term deals you. In the long run, EVERY consistent, well-planned, well-chosen effort will get you where you want to be...BELIEVE IT! Now, go get some exercise and let those clothes get even LOOSER! BTW, loose clothes mean you are losing INCHES and actually getting smaller. A scale can't ever give you that kind of reinforcement. ;o)
