GOOD SUNDAY MORNING, BUDDIES!

Hello from the land of the dazed and confused!!  ;o)

Well, my baby is officially a senior in high school now -- what was I thinking?  Why did I help her get all that work done?  Do you think it's too late to re-enroll her in kindergarten?

Whew!  I'm not made for all-nighters any more.  I was out of it all day yesterday, and I still don't feel quite normal.  Jolie was doing a little better -- good thing because she had to get up at the crack of dawn and go take her SATs yesterday morning!  She is so happy for summer -- sooooooo happy.

So, how are you, Buddies???  How's the weather where you are?  I worry about everybuddy because I can't turn on the TV without seeing some kind of weather situation.  Our weather is steamy and hot -- yuck.  This is what the weather site shows for today:

Hi 97°F

Impressive, no?  It's only 8:30 in the morning, and it's already getting uncomfortable and close.  I think I may have to break down and turn on Bertha (my window AC unit).  I'm trying to save money, but geesh!

Not many plans for today.  I think I'll call my mom this afternoon.  I'm reading Brave New World right now, and this seems like a good day for a book.  Hydrating and reading - that sounds like my plan.  What's up in your world, Buddies?

Have a wonderful Sunday!!!

Good morning, Karen!! Jolie's a senior.....wow, how did that happen??? She was wee little, in grade school, when you started on the board. Congrats to her (and you) for all of your hard work getting through this last stretch. Happy summer to her (all of you)!!

Jensen has 3 more weeks of school (and is definitely not preparing or working like J did), and wants desperately to find a summer job so she can afford clothes for starting high school (grade 10 here) in the fall. Here we go....LOL

Your weather sounds a wee bit TOO warm. LOL I don't know if I've ever uttered that phrase in my life!! Our forecast (although the sun WAS shining a half hour ago) Light rain60F, Cloudy w/Showers, 80% P.O.P., not too windy, 93% humidity. Which all makes me rather glad I am working my old job today (despite being dog tired and generally unmotivated to do so). I've been sick for a few days and feel so unrested. Called in to work sick on Friday, but had my Microeconomics final yesterday so couldn't sleep in(ugh). Start Marketing on Tues. No rest for the weary. LOL

But now to get ready for work at the pool. I'll try to catch up from there later if I can! I am sending some of our cool weather your way, have some ahppy today! Love ya,

I've felt that way before too, Meme - eating to get energy because I'm worn out.

Our weather was really hot yesterday. We actually needed to turn on our air conditioning. We had a really bad wind storm a couple of days ago but now it is better. I don't have any plans for the day except to go shopping for a bit. Gotta go my ride is here.

Helllooooooo, Meme, our long lost buddy! I have missed you, girl!

I didn't know you got a new position...CONGRATS for surviving your first month (I SO know the feeling). What's the position?

Hmmm, suggestions on eating....the only thing that works for me is to not have ANY downfall foods around at all. The cravings, some nights, all but kill me, but at least not having them around keeps me honest (begrudgingly so). LOL I think you are doing awesome getting to Curves. Is it types or quantities of food you're having trouble with? Or is it a mind-thing, being so tired and stressed and all?

Sorry I'm not being more of a help. We're all here for you to keep you going, never forget that. BIG hugs,

ROFLMBO!! Well, maybe the fever I've had this week is playing a part in that insane talk, I dunno. LOL It would've been nice to be warm a bit between shivers, though, so maybe you SHOULD enjoy it a bit for me. If "enjoy" is too strong a word, then maybe "bear with it" is more appropriate.

Hope you managed not to melt today, K.

My new job doesn't have a new title, it's just that the person who used to do all the financial reports is no longer there.

((((((Meme))))))) I know EXACTLY how you feel, girl. But you WILl get through it. What I do to de-stress is to de-emphasize all of the things that wind me up. A motto I adopted from a paramedic friend, who stays cool no matter what is happening,
