GOOD SATURDAY MORNING, BUDDIES!

Happy Saturday, everybuddy!!  I hope you find plenty of reasons to smile today.  What are your plans?  We'll be leaving for my parents' house in a few hours.  There are thunderstorms predicted all weekend around here, so we'll basically be running out between storms to work on opening the pool.  With luck, we can get the entire job done by Sunday evening when we have to leave.  No matter what, it'll be nice to spend some time with my parents.  :o)

I'm going to try to use K's laptop to get on the board in the morning, but for some reason, it won't always connect at my parents' house.  If I can't get on in the morning, I'll check in later in the day.  (My parents' computer is in a room next to their bedroom, so I don't like to go in there while they're still sleeping or dressing.)

I hope you have fabulous, funny, fantastic weekend, Buddies!  Find the fun!

Hi Karen and everyone!

Sorr I've been so absent this past week- after being away last weekend it was a madhouse here with the kid's last few days of school. Then it wseems the only time I'm at the PC is late night- then I hat to post to a thread that late because I'm not sure if anyone reads it the next day (haha).

Besides that, my food mindset has been horrible- I realize I have to stop getting weighed every week and have to just take one decision/ one meal at ta time, and try to be healthy-- I have been binging all week and it has made me look (breakouts) and feel horrible.

And of course we are in full bathing suit season here and I feel I've made no headway and feel bad about that...

BUT-- new day- new outlook- I'm going to work on not beating myself up:)

Going to a Yankee Game today witht he kids and dh, should be fun. I will avoid most temptations- think I'll have a hot dog (how can you not) and a diet soda-- and aviod the rest:)

Relaxing tomorrow and puttering around the house- so I'm looking forwrad to catching up on everyone's posts from the last week:)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Ann

Hey, how was your weekend with the folks, K?

All I did on Saturday was go to a hardware store with a girlfriend to pick up gardening supplies (she hasn't a clue), then we sat on my deck in the radiant sunshine for a few hours (first sunburn I've had in YEARS; I am usually hyper-vigilant about sunblock...don't know why I forgot).

Did a bit of housework, hung out with the kid. That's about it.

Hey, Ann, the ball game sounds like it would've been a blast (and I admire that you made your food plan ahead of time).

Sending really strong CHOOSE-WELL vibes for you concerning food this week. You can do it, especially with the one decision at a time mindset. Don't let anything stop you!!

ROFLMBO!! Sorry, that tune sounds familiar but I, too, am unable to name it! You're hilarious!

Sounds like some smart planning you have going on. Hope all the books sell on Amazon (I still need to look into that for all of my textbooks). TY for the reminder. Sure must feel good to be de-cluttering, eh?

They've decided to have the pool filled in this fall.

Oh, wow. I've never heard of such a thing. Is the pool too old/broken to just keep empty (I'm thinking resale value)? Or is there really no "resale" value?

I wonder how I can get them to send it to me...LOL

I'm so sorry for you (((((Karen))))). I do understand why it would feel like another personal loss, and I am SO proud of you for not letting your parents know. You are an amazingly strong daughter/woman. Big hugs,
