Happy day, everybuddy!
How was your Saturday? Fun? Relaxing? Both? (I hope!) We had a pretty good Saturday. The young man was here for most of the day - which made Kelsy a happy girl. Then, Dan and I went to a cook-out held by one of our old theater friends and the girls had sister-bonding night (LOL). It was fun to see our old friends. I always have a good cry after a night like that, and last night was no exception, but I'm still really glad we went.
So, how's your Sunday looking? I'm not sure what we'll be doing around here. K's on her way down to Chestertown to see.....can you guess? Yes, you're right - the young man. I think I mainly want to relax today. My shoulder's achy, and I have a good mystery to read, so I think that's going to be a decent part of my day. Tonight is my cooking show night - Iron Chef and Next Food Network Star - that should be fun.
I hope you all have a wonderfully relaxing day.

Good morning buddies,
We have a busy day ahead of us. We're going to Costco after Bruce is done exercising. We found a bedroom set that we like for Aiden while there yesterday and we want to go pick it up today. This is what it looks like...
Then, we have a birthday party to go to this afternoon. One of our MOM's group/ECFE friends is turning 4 and having a pool party with a BBQ...should be fun!
Have a great day buddies! :)
~Dawn
I love that bedroom set - it's so boy!

It's got to be a relief for them to know that help is so close by if they get worn out.

Hey ladies, sorry I've been mia this week. Just been busy! Yesterday was no exception either. We seeded our lawn yesterday morning, then headed out for one of the many local neighborhood street festivals associated with the large Seattle-wide Seafair festival (which lasts until the first week of August when the Blue Angels come!!). This festival was in our neighborhood AND is designed for "kiddies" so we had to go. Unfortunately we made it too late and missed the parade and the activities were much too old for Noah. Instead, we decided to have lunch and ended up walking quite a distance (I got more than 12,000 steps in yesterday) for what I think was a fairly healthy lunch.
Today we went to a local park for a friend's 1st birthday party, and got in a bunch more steps. I also went for a walk this morning so I think I just may hit 10,000 steps for today. Whoo! I tried to be good at the BBQ today, but did have a burger. I've been indulging in some summer sweets (can you say ice cream?), but spliting my small servings with Noah. I think I get the best of both worlds there, I get a taste, but not too much. =-)
Wow!
