GOOD TGIFRIDAY MORNING, BUDDIES!
| Fri, 07-18-2008 - 8:43am |
Is everybuddy hydrated? How did your Thirstday go, Buddies? Mine went well. I spent lots of time traveling back and forth to the facilities (a calorie burning bonus to Thirstday), and I feel good the way I always do when I've had enough water.
And now - it's time to dance!!
Happy Friday, Everybuddy! Let's all look for an opportunity to kick up our heels today!

Maybe it's time to re-align your thinking, Dawn. Maybe getting down to 150 is good enough. Remember when you set a goal before you got to "maintaining" weight. As soon as you made your goal 5 pounds higher than you intended, the hard worked paid off in greater losses.
I really have to reinforce that you have kept off over 80 pounds. THAT is not failure, my little friend. You are NOT obese or unhealthy or big in any way. You

Brandon was his usual wild child self, which is pretty difficult to deal with when you're tired and hungry, but he wasn't too bad.
ROFL I have a nephew, Brandon, too. He is 16 now, but when he was young (birth to 9 or 10) HE was uncontrollable and very hard to be around at times. BUT they DO eventually grow out of it.
You're such a good auntie not to get too sharp and still be able to get snuggle-time.

I was thinking the same thing Roni. Maybe I am meant to be 150, but then I think "well, I slipped from 140 to 150 and accepted it, what if I slip from 150 to 160?"
Maybe I will compromise and be happy between 145 and 150. Just so my clothes fit. :)

I know what you mean. This is the tough part of maintaining, knowing how to find the balance (something I haven't been able to do...YET).
I don't think you should get into the mindset of letting yourself "slip" (read: eat your way) back up to 160. Give yourself a range, and eat/treat accordingly. At 140, you can have a few more indulgences. At 150, you have to say no. Make a plan/rule and stick to it. Easier said than done, I know, but at least that way you won't be depriving yourself when you can "afford" it, weight-wise.
You know, I think I am learning more from you being at/near goal than I ever did about myself in the same situation. What a blessing you are to all of us. :o)
