Good, very early, morning! I have a HUGE delimma... I need to lose 50lbs and cannot find the motivation/willpower to do so! I can diet for about a week and lose a good 7lbs or so (water weight of course), but then I'm tired of dieting and ready to eat like a cow again. WHY can I not find the motivation anywhere in this overly large body of mine?
Can anyone help? My life is at risk and with a new baby girl, I cannot risk that. I have never been thin (or at a healthy weight) my whole life. Now that I have Reaghan I have really been concerned about my weight and losing it. You would think thats willpower and motivation right there... but only for a few days, then I'm fat mommy again. :(
Please help...

Let me start off by saying that if any of this was easy, no one on the planet would be fat. You are not alone. Each of us has physical and mental struggles we are trying to overcome. The ONE thing I know for sure is that there is no such thing as "willpower". Honestly. There is planning, careful decision-making, goal-setting, keeping goals conscious, and there is ACTION. With all of those things, willpower is not a factor. Action creates motivation, motivation does NOT create action.
Start out small with something you can absolutely achieve, like not buying a habitual trigger food, or drinking more water each day. Remember that results will not be instantaneous, but a culmination of months/years/a lifetime of great choices and small steps forward.
Do you plan to make food changes? How about incorporating exercise? Make a simple plan, share it with us...and then come back for all of the support and encouragement and accountability that anyone could need. Hugs,

That is so true of myself it's scary.
