GOOD MONDAY MORNING, BUDDIES!

Happy new week!  I'm sorry I didn't manage to get on here yesterday.  Between everybuddy else needing the computer, an enormous thunderstorm that knocked out the power for a while, and the sinus headache caused by the enormous thunderstorm, there never seemed to be a good time to get on the computer.  I hope everybuddy had a beautiful day.  ((((HUGS))))

I'm hoping to be able to get the grocery store today.  Our healthy food choices have dwindled, and it's time.  What are your plans for the day, Buddies?

Happy Monday!

((((HUGS)))) - Karen

Good Monday morning, Karen and Buddies!! I hope your head feels MUCH better today, my Hoser pal.

I am SO HAPPY last week is over and a new week is starting fresh. Every day last week felt like a Monday, and not in a good way. LOL I am making the choice to NOT be overwhelmed in any way this week (not by work, Dad, or anything/one), no matter what.

I finally did a good grocery shop yesterday, and the fridge and pantry are filled with nothing but lean meats, frozen veggies, fresh fruit...NO quick-fix, high-calorie, non-nutritious food! I even found a mousse-y dessert thing that is 70cal per cup prepared (like pudding, with skim milk), so life is good!! ;o)

On an up-side: Wayne and I worked for almost 7 hours on our flagstone patio on Saturday and have it 90% completed. On the downside, I can't move...at all. ROFL I have never had such pain in my body in my life. Just sitting down or getting up is a serious chore. Stairs?? NO THANK YOU. I guess that's what 6+ hours of squat-lifting will do for a gal. I also sustained a 12" long gash in my leg that looks just lovely...BUT the patio may be finished by the end of the week and that was the main focus, bodily harm be darned. LOL

Anyway, burn more calories than you take in today, ladies, and feel fabulous about every effort!!! WOOHOOOOOO, I feel some losing comin' on this week!!! hugs,

Welcome aboard, Sue!! I am so happy you found us and decided to join right in.

Your planning sounds awesome and it will definitely set you up for success. Freezing meals is the BEST during busy times, and making the effort to walk (or get any type of exercise) is ALWAYS to your benefit, even if you have to force yourself to do it.

I will probably find this info in another post, but how much are you planning to lose?

Take care and have a fit and fabulous day! Hugs,

Good morning, G!! When does school start up for you again? Is this the final year for you??

What are you reading now? I haven't read anything so far this summer, either, but Jensen gave me her "Twilight" book to read. A teen novel may just be what I need to sink my teeth into and relax mindlessly at the end of days. LOL

Hope your work day goes well and that the workout feels especially good! hugs,

I dunno what I'm planning on reading just yet. I have a bunch of books that someone gave me that I might look through and pick one from. Or I might just run out and spend a few bucks on whatever catches my interest. I just finished a tree grows in brooklyn and I loved it!

So I guess I'll have to see.

Good morning, Rain! Sorry you ahd a sleepless night. I had one of those, too (thunder storms, hailstorms, loud neighbours LOL).

If you want to gain some energy, make sure to take walks during the day to keep the blood pumping. Won't hurt when you step on the scale again, either. ;o) I am going to do the same (although the walking will be painfully slow due to my aching bod).

Big hugs,

Hey, K, have you read anything you would highly recommend?? Now that school is done for a few weeks, I am getting the urge to read but have no idea what to pick up.

Good morning, mary!

Ah, not racing around and having days to do as you please sounds really nice. It is SO good to slow down once in a while. ;o)

Congrats on making a plan to exercise and get eating healthfully. it really feels too good not to. Hugs and best wishes for a successful day!

Good morning, Meme!

You sound like you have planned for success today and I love that!! The super nachos sound yummy.

60 minutes of exercise sounds like a great idea!!! I think I'll steal that one for myself today (even if it is just in the form of slow walking). Have a super-great day, buddy!!
