I'm up too late again, so I'm going to get a jumpstart on saying goodmorning. Good morning, everybuddy!! It's Loseday Tuesday, and that means time to focus on losing. Are there changes that need to be made in your diet or exercise? Is there something holding you back? Do you have a habit that needs breaking? Today is the day to figure out a plan and act!
My plan is to get a grip on myself as far as baked chips are concerned. I had decided never to buy them again because I'm beginning to believe they're laced with opium -- I can't seem to stay away from them! I was doing really well, and then Dan saw them on sale when he was in the store looking for something else and brought home two bags. (He meant well.) Yikes. I fell off the wagon with a thud. I have to learn to live in the house with those chips and not lose control. I vow here and now that I will only eat a pre-measured single serving of chips when it fits into my program - no snacking, grazing, binging, etc. It's me against the chips, and I'm going to win!
Have a fantastic Loseday, Buddies. Let's LOSE!!!

And a Happy LoseDay to you, Karen!
I learned loooooooooooooong ago that I have no willpower when it comes to quantity. Fortunately, I am single and live alone (with the exception of my cat!) so if the temptation comes into the house, I am the only one I can blame.
My plan today is to endure the oppressive weather we are having these days and take three 10 minute walks instead of one 30 minute. I often use the weather as my excuse for not exercising and today, I promise myself (and all my buddies here) that I will not use the weather as my excuse!
Have a LoseDay like no other!!!

OMWord! Those chips are laced with opium! I can't stop either. In my less controlled days I would sit with Todd and polish off an entire bag of those! They would become our dinner! And the creases of the mouth would hurt so bad because of all the salt on them! I had to stop getting them. I think they're healthy or something because they're baked so it's okay if I eat way more than I should! Good luck with that, Karen! That's a hard battle, but you can win it!!
My plan for today is to be really good so maybe tomorrow I can see the 160s! Oh to be in the 160s! I need to lose anything over .2 pound and I'm in 'em! It will be a challenge though! Todd's aunt has invited us down to meet with her for dinner. She's from several hours away but is house-sitting for someone from her husband's family and their house is about 45 minutes away. So we're going down there for dinner tonight. But I know we're going out, I just don't where. I'm hoping to somewhere with a low-cal menu so I can be mindful of what I eat! My loseday goal is to stay on track no matter where we go. If it means having to eat a salad and then only 1/3 of my meal, then that's what I gotta do!
Anyhoo, I hope everyone else has a great day!
Howdy! I love your determination to get your 30 minute walks in!
You know, lately, I've only been doing about 25-30 minutes of cardio a day and yet seeing pretty good results. What's been working for me is exercising directly before or after meals whenever I can.
I wake up and eat my breakfast (.75c of oatmeal with a tbsp of brown sugar, some water and some coffee) and then I use the elliptical for 15-20 minutes. Then in the evening right before I eat (last night my dinner was finishing in the oven while I was on the elliptical) I exercise again for about 10 minutes. And I think it really helps me to digest the meal. Plus they say when your body is revved up it better digests the fats that you might have consumed. So I always just think "Oops, gotta rev up the old metabolism before I eat that!" And it's really working! So you may wanna try to work your walks around your meals!
Happy Walking!
Hello, ladies!
Good morning buddies,
I have to admit I was a little sad yesterday that no one said anything to me yesterday, LOL. I know, that's sad huh? I need a real life, LOL!
Today my goal is to stay on plan. I have 2 weeks until our home town celebration and I want to be at about 145 by then. I want to look good, and show off my kiddos too! ;)

Sorry Dawnzie!
I didn't mean not to respond! (I don't respond to most people though these days unless they say something to me, and even then I often forget!)
I think that's a great source of motivation for ya and I hope it works well!! And I hope you and the kiddos are in tip top shape in no time!

I have a baked chip idea - I take a wrap and spray it with some Pam.
