GOOD MONDAY MORNING, BUDDIES!

I'm back in my parents' basement again!  Dan got the car fixed late yesterday afternoon, and we took off.  We should be here through late Wednesday evening.  My mom seems to be doing really well.  She's still taking pain medicine regularly, but she moves pretty well with a cane, and even went out to get her hair cut a couple of days ago.  (My dad did the driving.)  She's one of those short-haired people who can't stand it when their hair grows a quarter of an inch. LOL  I couldn't really see that it looked any longer, but it was driving her crazy, so I'm glad she got out and got it cut.

Sooooooooooooooooooooo, happy Monday!!!!!!  How was your weekend?  Mine was good because Kelsy forgot to pack her pillows and drove home on Sunday to get them.  (I swear I didn't hide the pillows.)  She stayed for a couple of hours and it was wonderful to see her.  She'd only been gone two days, but there's something about a casual visit to pick up pillows that makes her seem not so far away, you know?

Let's make this a week full of losing, Buddies!  The next time we step on our scales, let's hear them say, "Dang, girl - you're a loser!!!!

Happy Monday!!!!

Karen: Wow you're mom is doing great! So happy to hear her recover is giong well. THat can be rough on a person. Learning to walk all over again. Im happy to hear everything is going well for her.

My weekend was lovely. I did nothing....well...I did squirt whip cream into my mouth a few times =/.......I couldnt help it! I'll be throwing it away today. But since next weekend i'll be getting readty for vacation I wanted to make sure we were able to relax this weekend. We did, did some laundry, bill mowed the lawn. But it was nice and long.

Now today.....ugh I have to go to a party. And not just a typical party...its a demonstration.....a dove chocolate demonstration. Grr! How am I going to do this....seriously. ugh. Okay Im gonna have to eat lunch early...and try really hard to get a walk in a lunch and do extra laps. Take the 55 and maybe jog home. Id say I wont eat anything but really thats unreasonable. In fact that will be my motivation today, jsut because Im going to a chocolate party does not mean it'll ruin my efforts!

The woman who's hosting is an amazing cook. She really knows how to put on a party. I'll just have to be reasonable with what I do eat at the party. And I'll make sure I go on a walk before bed.

Anyways....I gotta go do some work now.

Cookies and chocolate, what are you all trying to do to me!?? lol

Good note, I have an apartment now

Bad note, I am allergic to something in there. We are currently blaming the carpet, so they are cleaning it today. I hope it all goes well so that it's not something like black mold (people in the lounge scared me with that suggestion! lol).

Enjoy the Simple.

It's great to hear that your mom is doing better, and able to get out and about.

Weekends are bad for me too. I think for me its the fact that Im not on a schedule, so Its much easier to snack and birdwalk away. Also I wait for bill to make a decision as to where he wants to eat. Most of the time he says its up to me, so I think In eed to be more assertive and suggest a good place, or just stay home. And not squirt whip cream into my mouth >.>

What did I ever do to you?!? "Dove chocolate party"....now that's just cruel and inhumane treatment here. LOL

Seriously though, I am not going to be able to think of anything else for the rest of the afternoon now. ;o)

"Yes, only my mom would plan ahead for something like this."

Nope, she's not alone. My MIL does that kind of stuff all the time. It's thoughtful, and a kind of therapy, don't you think?

Hope the cookies are well out of your system by now, and that the scale reflects your hard work tomorrow, Bennie!
