I'm back in my parents' basement again! Dan got the car fixed late yesterday afternoon, and we took off. We should be here through late Wednesday evening. My mom seems to be doing really well. She's still taking pain medicine regularly, but she moves pretty well with a cane, and even went out to get her hair cut a couple of days ago. (My dad did the driving.) She's one of those short-haired people who can't stand it when their hair grows a quarter of an inch. LOL I couldn't really see that it looked any longer, but it was driving her crazy, so I'm glad she got out and got it cut.
Sooooooooooooooooooooo, happy Monday!!!!!! How was your weekend? Mine was good because Kelsy forgot to pack her pillows and drove home on Sunday to get them. (I swear I didn't hide the pillows.) She stayed for a couple of hours and it was wonderful to see her. She'd only been gone two days, but there's something about a casual visit to pick up pillows that makes her seem not so far away, you know?
Let's make this a week full of losing, Buddies! The next time we step on our scales, let's hear them say, "Dang, girl - you're a loser!!!!
Happy Monday!!!!

Congrats on the new apartment, Rain! I hope cleaning the carpets helps the allergic reaction. Sending up prayers that it is nothing worse than dust build-up.
Hey, if you're at 170, youdon't have too far to go to get to a new decade. WORK HARD for it!!!

No more eating and eating and eating, Jeanne. If you can't reach your goal by your birthday, it's too bad, but it doesn't mean you won't EVER reach your goal. Time to make a plan for avoiding binges/overeating. Make a list of all of the non-food related things you can be doing. Keep your hands, mind and body busy. Take a walk, do a chore, read a book, take up another hobby (scrapbooking, knitting, jewellery making, etc). Go for a bike ride, make a meal plan, prep for future meals, come chat here with your buddies. Put post-its up with affirmations and motivational words (or just the sentence "Are you TRULY hungry?")...stick them up on the fridge, in cupboards, in the pantry, EVERYWHERE. Make choices that will feel good LONG-TERM, not just momentarily.
Always remember not to give up your discipline and self-control for a weak moment that can be bypassed with some other diversion.
