GOOD SATURDAY MORNING, BUDDIES!

Gooooooood morning!  It's Saturday!  Seems like a good day to find some fun.  You know, I think learning to find fun is a very important part of weight loss.  I feel that way because I know that one of my sources of fun is food.  I don't know why I think this way, but when I'm bored or lonely or restless, I want to run to the refrigerator to cheer myself up.  Learning to find fun and entertainment that doesn't include food is going to be very useful to me as I go through this journey, so I'm going on a fun hunt today.

Who's with me?  Want to join me in finding fun without food?  Even if you have to work today, there are ways to find fun.  Anybuddy have any suggestions?

My no-food fun ideas so far:

-read (I reading Chronicles of Narnia again.)

-challenge the husband or Jolie to a video game

-call someone on the phone and have a good long talk

-send silly text messages to Kelsy

I'll keep thinking, and hopefully get some ideas from you.  Have a terrific Saturday, Buddies.  Find the fun!!

((((HUGS)))) - Karen

Good evening, K! My fun list today included:

1. Breakfast with a friend, Andrea, from a college course and HER friend from a different college course. Her friend, Fran, and I are going to be in class together this semester. When you're middle aged and in the continuing education university program, the universe is VERY small. LOL It may have been a "food" outing, but we gabbed more than ate. I kept my calories to under 300 (pretty good for a breakfast out).

2. School supply shopping with Jensen (high school begins in - eep! - 9 days!). Having to spend over $100 on a CALCULATOR alone made me lose my appetite. No kidding. And we got it at Walmart where they are CHEAP. How do you people with multiple children DO this??? My hat is off to you all.

3. Drinking water all day long.

3. Played some video games with Jen. Or, she watched while I played. Keeps the hands busy. Great for avoiding food.

4. Coming here to chat with my buds instead of grabbing a second helping of supper.

5. Last diversions from food for the day: A long, hot bubble bath followed by some reading in bed.

(((((Heather)))))) you have been gone TOO long!! But I'm not giving you heck, I know how life is. It's just so dang good to see you.

I am sending vibes that Fay calms and that everyone affected by her remains safe.

Tell us what you've been up to. I know I want to hear about all the great stuff that's been occupying your time these past few months! Hugs,
