Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey, Buddies!! It's Saturday! What are your plans for the day? We're hunkered down here because the remnants of some hurricane (Hannah?) are blowing through here today -- lots of wind, rain, and potential flooding, but I think we'll be fine. Dan cleaned out the gutters so there'll be less chance of flooding in the basement, and we turned over the metal lawn chairs and tucked the trash can in a wind protected corner. The rest is up to God and nature.
I'll probably spend most of the day doing paperwork -- bills and school work. Tomorrow, if everything goes well, we may get to visit with Kelsy for a couple of hours. She needs some help with some cables and wires in her room, and J and I are going along with Dan to "assist". LOL J has a lot of homework though, so I've got my fingers crossed that she can get it done in time for us to go.
Have a wonderful Saturday! Stay dry, and if you see the sunshine - say hi for me!

I looked up Logger's Playday on the internet, and it looks like fun!

Today will be spent taking care of all the things that I should have done during the week and didn't. Translation: laundry and cleaning. I was just enjoying the fact that school is back in session for both my daughter and nephew (whom I watch when his parents work) a little too much.
Hanna's working her way by today. The "eye"

Good afternnon, K & buddies! I hope that storm blows by you guys without incident. Sending WORK FAST vibes to J, so you can all go visit L'il K tomorrow!!
I have just finished almost 6 hours of macroeconomics homework (wanted to work ahead), and am about to get ready to head to a mall. I need a black sweater or jacket and haven't been able to find anything office-appropriate. I hate shopping when I'm not in the mood.
My dear friend, Michelle, is having her 40th birthday party tonight (being thrown by another friend of hers I've never met). Is it awful to not want to go simply because I have nothing to wear and my hair needs a cut SO badly, and I could find a better way to spend the evening (at home, doing homework or housework)?? LOL I think my attitude comes from the fact that Michelle didn't even bother to send me even a card for my birthday in July. I know it's petty, but my heart just ain't in it. What do you girls think? Should I force myself to go without really wanting to, or just extend an invitation for a lunch in celebration of BOTH of our 40th's (which I have done already)and look forward to that instead? I'm kind of torn.
Thanks for listening,
Roni
