GOOD SATURDAY MORNING, BUDDIES!

Welcome to another headache-y day.  It's not surprising really - I just checked our weather, and we're expecting rain all week.  Oh my aching sinuses....

It took me most of yesterday - coffee, tylenol, motrin, and lying down after my class - but I got rid of the headache by evening.  That was good because we went to see K in a play last night, and I was going to that even if my head expoded!  I thought she did a really good job, and, of course, it was lovely to see her.

Today, we're going shopping for a homecoming dress for J.  I hope I can get rid of this headache first because I love looking at all the pretty dresses and seeing J in them.  The only tough part is finding one that fits in the budget, but God has been so good to us as far as that's concerned that I'm not even worried.  If there's a dress to be found that we can afford, He'll help us find it!

What are your plans for today, Buddies?

Happy Saturday!

((((HUGS)))) - Karen

Don't know why they always want us to spend the weekend reading or doing homework and yet when you leave class they always say "Enjoy your weekend".

Whoo-hoo I can type! Some how my computer wouldn't let me type in this box thinger... it was frustrating.

The crepes recipe -
1 cup flour. (I use whole wheat, you can use white, it will adjust the calories and vitamins a bit depending on what you use.)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 tablespoon oil (any oil works, crisco and butter will too, I use the lowest calorie one I have at hand - if you use something solid you'll have to mix it into the flour with a fork first.)
1 1/2 cup of skim milk
3 eggs.

I use a six inch (diameter) skillet pan, and use less than 1/4 cup of batter for each. It's probably closer to 1/8 cup, but I don't own that. :-) I go for the thinner the better, my goal is paper thin, but I can't seem to get the middle that thin! Oh, my stove is set low except in the begining, and I take the pan off to swirl around the batter till it's cooked solid-ish on the hot pan, then I try not to turn it brown. Lol, another thing I am having trouble with. I probably should turn down my heat, but the I'd have to wait longer for them to be done. :-)

Oh, if you make 20, it's approx 30 calories, if you make 30, it's approx 20 calories. I can't quiet hit 30, I get about 27 each time.

---- Well my day is going well. I have lots of studying to do, and I want to go dancing tonight. :-) Hope everyone else has a good day.

Rain

Enjoy the Simple.

"...the profs decided to really load us up because Tuesday is a holiday and we're missing a day of class."

Some holiday!

I know the temptation of all that good food is hard to fight, but those card game evenings with your mom and sis sound like so much fun!

I am hoping that your day so far has been pain-free (or, at least, that the drugs are working extra good for you). I am so grateful that I don't have sinus issues, when I hear about all the stuff you go through ((((K))))).

YAY for getting to see L'il K in a play!! I am always so amazed at how artsy and talented your clan is.

And I already read that you found J a dress....YAY!!!! I asked for details elsewhere, so I won't ask again teeheeee.

My Saturday was, let's see if I can remember...laundry, studying, sock-shopping (work socks for Wayne), a trip to Home Depot (to see if they have any "window film"...you know, to blur the view in my bathroom?

I had a crazy eating-day yesterday, too, but it can be undone today with nutritious food and exercise. You have the right idea about the bike ride or walk, for sure!!

Hope you gys had a ton of fun at the Festival!

Oooh, those darn guys and their Asian buffets. LOL I am proud that you have the "splurge meal" attitude. No harm done if you look forward and not back!
