GOOD MONDAY MORNING, BUDDIES!

Hi, y'all!

I'm going to have to post and run this morning.  I need to give Dan a ride down to Baltimore.  His van broke last week, and he's been taking the car and working on repairs during his spare time at work.  The van is fixed now, and I need to drive him down to get it.

I'll be back later.  Have a marvy Monday until then!!

I'm glad you found some time to stop by. That stinks about him being laid off. Hopefully you find something really nice for part time work and hopefully he gets hired again soon! I'll put it in my prayers =)

You were doing wonderfully without the nutritionist, so I don't foresee you having many problems without those visits. And now you have the added knowledge from her to carry on on your own. I think you'll do great!

Keep us updated with the job search!

I do have to agree with Roni's advice. There are times when I just straight up tell Todd "I'm not asking for your advice, but I want you to listen just as intently anyways. And when I'm done, just tell me you'll still love me no matter what."

He really does just that. And at first I thought it wasn't as comforting because I had to tell him how to react, but that's never how it feels in the end. And even if it does feel a little canned, it's better than any alternatives from him! HAHA!

Hello Dawn!! I love seeing you on facebook, now, too, btw! =)

I'm happy to hear about the re-commitment! That's great news!! Todd and I are right there with ya. I'm still five up from ticker...been here since Vegas (in August, ouch!) so I need to get moving. But I've been so caught up with Todd's journey up the numbers on the scale that I haven't been as focused as I should be on myself. We've recommitted as well, so hopefully this works! I feel pretty good about myself doing it, I'm just praying he gives it even a small shot. I've found he really has no commitment whatsoever for weight loss. He's now at his highest weight ever. He had lost about 45 pounds a couple years ago when I started losing. He's since gained all of that back plus about 15 more. Oh my. It's really hard for me to admit my husband, that I love more than anything, has gained 60 pounds in less than 2 years. It makes me want to cry. I really do feel like so much of this is my fault.

I need for him to be healthy. And it seems like such a delicate line I'm walking between support and criticism, but I don't want to look back in 30 years and think I shoulda done more.

Oh man, I dunno what is wrong with me...been babbling all day! Best of luck to the two of you!! I know you guys can do this!!

Gretal - It's good to hear that Todd is at least attempting to start to lose weight.

Thanks for the reply buddy! I appreciate the encouragement...and I like knowing I'm not alone. It really does get me down, even if it isn't per se my fault, I have been enabling this. I do cook the high calorie dinners and I do shovel all my uneaten food onto his plate. And I just keep thinking where we might be today if he hadn't lost any weight a couple years ago. But either way I can't get this idea off my mind. 60 pounds in less than 2 years is mind-boggling to me and I don't know how we got here.

I really do hope he stick with it, even half a$s, just until he gets some weight off. He's now well over 100 lbs overweight, so I'm just hoping and praying we can do this. Ideally he'd get through the winter okay and then next spring feel a bit more confident and maybe join a sports team- he loves sports, he just doesn't play them - I think probably because he's embarrassed about his weight.

And that's great that your DH has been making small changes to better himself, too! I used to think getting healthy would just rub off on Todd, but it clearly hasn't - in fact it's just made him get unhealthier at a faster rate.

::Sigh::
