GOOD MONDAY MORNING, BUDDIES!
| Mon, 11-10-2008 - 8:59am |
Hi, y'all!
I'm going to have to post and run this morning. I need to give Dan a ride down to Baltimore. His van broke last week, and he's been taking the car and working on repairs during his spare time at work. The van is fixed now, and I need to drive him down to get it.
I'll be back later. Have a marvy Monday until then!!

I'm so glad you came in to "blab".

Hmm, since I don't foresee us vacationing anywhere, how bout "the envy of all the other people taking the bar?" =)
Oh man, I hate thinking about that coming up so soon!! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!
((((Gretal)))) I think it's awesome that you haven't just given in and taken the path of least resistance with Todd. And your little "bribes" may be just what I need to turn Wayne's eating around, too. I'm going to steal that idea. Wayne and I have each gained 50 since we met...YUCK!!!
You know what I've resorted to lately?? Making meals that I know he doesn't particularly like (like, putting peppers in something). ROFL I know, it's a mean tactic, but he'll eat it 'cause he's hungry but not to gorge himself. I need to learn to cook less at a time, too. I love leftovers, but sometimes with that extra made there aren't leftovers anyway.
And, don't get me started on the exercise thing. I'd love to go to the gym with him, but he says it's boring. My attitude is, OH WELL, we can't always do stuff just because it's fun.
ANYWAY, congrats for getting Todd to take his baby steps. Once he gets going, I'm sure the effects will snowball. BIG hugs,
Roni

Thanks Roni! I'm really trying. I really have been feeling guilty about things. Especially bringing it up. But I've really been putting emphasis on the helping part and the WE part. And a couple days ago I just told him "Look, I'm concerned, things haven't been changing, I'm not dropping it."
And last night while explaining the calories he's eaten during the day and the calories in dinner and dessert he said something to the effect like "Yeah, you bringing it up has made me not be able to forget it. And I need to work on this and it is making it easier." So yay! And day one went very well and day 2 is going well, too. We'll see if he does some exercise tonight, though =0)
