Hi all,

I've been searching the web looking for some support with helping me lose weight I've gained since having baby #3. This board looks to be pretty active, so I'm hoping that I have found a new home on the web.

I'm going to need lots of support, and probably a bit of nagging to help me finally get with the program. Here is my problem: I had my 3rd child 9 months ago and initially felt very motivated to get back in shape and back to my normal size. I was within 10lbs of my pre-pregnancy weight by my post-partum visit. Then things started to fall apart. I was becoming more and more frustrated with my lack of physical conditioning and my lack of progress with getting back to form. So I stopped exercising. Then I got stressed over a bunch of stuff that was going on over the summer during which I was home with all 3 kids. So, what does one do when one is home and stressed? Eat, Eat and then have some dessert. YEAH! And it didn't stop when the summer was over and the kids went back to school, either. If anything, it got worse. I've been on a regular eating binge for the last 6 months or so. Every now and then I pass by the mirror and make a resolution to stop this nonsense and get back to a healthy lifestyle. That usually lasts about half a day at best. Then I'm back in the kitchen searching for anything sweet and fattening. It doesn't help that I generally eat more when I'm stressed, and with me not working right now, there is plenty to be stressed about.

So, anyway, sorry this got so long. I just wanted to get this all out so I can move forward. I know what I have to do to lose the weight and get back in shape, I just need the resolve to keep it going for more than half a day. Maybe having a place to check in and hold myself accountable will help.

Hi, Julia!

I (and probably everyone on the board) sure understand how it feels to stress-eat.

Hi Roni,
I'm trying to lose about 25 lbs of "baby" weight. I think I can still call it that for at least another few months before the whole pregnancy excuse for my eight gain runs thin. I would also like to lose another 15-20 that I should have lost before having the baby. So all together about 40-45 lbs. Wow! that sounds like a huge number when I look at it!

My main concern right now is that I pretty much stopped exercising and have been eating horribly. Sweets, junk, and restaurant food. Most of it stress-induced. So, getting back to having a regular exercise routine and cutting out the stress junk food binges are my first priorities.

Coming to board has already helped some, because at least I'm taking inventory of what I have been eating (or not) when I post.
