Good Wednesday Morning Buddies
20
Wed, 12-10-2008 - 11:21am

Since there is no usual posting I'll start it today.

What is Wednesday, Walks-Day?  I did my usual spin class so for me it is Spins-Day.  Tonight might be tough for me because my Lions Club is having our annual holiday party/meeting.  It is a buffet so I can pick and choose what I want for dinner and/or to cheat on a little.  I have my breakfast, snacks and lunch all from home today so tonight will be the only food I won't know about until I get to the restaurant.  I will not have a cocktail, just some club soda, this way my judgement will not be impaired.

Where is everyone today?  it's rare that I'm the early bird here.  (wink)

Quiet board today. The holiday/finals rush must be keeping everyone busy. I've notice that there a quite a few students and teachers on this board.

Bennie, I think it's great the you're making your plans before you get to the buffet. Personally I hate holiday buffets. It's aways too tempting to give in and overindulge, but you seem like you've got a good plan.

I already had four glasses of water today and did a 20 minute pilates workout. If the weather holds up, I'll bundle up baby and take him for a walk later on. It's been looking like rain all morning. Food for today is all planned. Got some more of my chili left from yesterday for today's lunch, and dinner will be pasta with homemade tomato sauce and veggies on the side. Got some apples and madarin slices to munch on for snacks. So, as long as DH doesn't order any takeout while I'm in school tonight, there is nothing to tempt me into eating junk.

I try to not thing of how yummy something is but how many germs might be on the chocolates, cookies, nuts, popcorn

When I was still working, one of the ladies in the office always had a jar of sweets to share on her desk. I used the same trick to stay away from her sweets, especially after I witnessed several people leaving the restroom without washing their hands!! YUCK!

Thanks for beginning the "good morning" thread, Bennie! I was at work really early trying to catch up from my two days off, so couldn't get online. I don't know what has happened to our Karen, though .

I love your plan for staying away from alcohol to keep good judgment!! That's saving a LOT of calories, I betcha!! Hope you enjoyed the food in moderation!

Congrats on planning out your meals, Julia. That is something that seems so trivial, but can make all the difference in making healthy choices.

And YAY YOU for doing your exercise!
