GOOD TGIFRIDAY MORNING, BUDDIES!
23
Fri, 12-19-2008 - 9:14am

Happy Friday, Buddies!  Let's dance!  The weather outside may be frightful but the music's so delightful - let us dance, let us dance, let us dance!

What are your plans for today?  I'll be doing the usual Christmas running around like a nutcase thing.  Stuff to mail, stuff to wrap, stuff to clean, etc.  My shoulder has chosen this time to act up again, so it's making things more complicated, but Christmas waits for no woman!

I hope you have a terrific Friday, Buddies!!

((((HUGS)))) - Karen

Good morning, Karen! I just got on the computer to break from studying (up since before 4am) and was about to post the morning message when, eureka, you're here! ;o)

I don't know if I'll find time to dance today (maybe I should make time?). My macroeconomics exam is tomorrow and I am trying desperately to cram my brain full of useful-for-tomorrow-but-not-ever-again-in-my-lifetime information. LOL It's almost over, it's almost over (for this semester).

BUT I am going to make time to walk on the treadmill for at least 30min (more if it feels good). I do have to get out to buy my fabulous co-workers, supervisor and manager a little something to let them know I appreciate them (haven't a clue what, though...any ideas, anyone?).

And, of course, tons more studying/reading/reviewing. I am looking forward to a total collapse tomorrow, but for now, I'll keep going. LOL

Love ya, K...hope you have a really Christmasy day!

Luckily, I don't have to embarass myself in front of co-workers with my lack of natural dance-aptitude...I took the day off without pay to study. SO GLAD, too, because the roads are in horrendous shape. Everything works out. LOL

Candles are a good idea, the only thing is you never know what kind of scent (or non-scent) people prefer. Something Christams-y could be re-gifted, though. I'm keeping candles on the short-list. Thanks!

Karen, I'm sorry about your shoulder!! That stinks! After you get all the things done, take some time to relax and just enjoy the fact that it's Christmas-time!! Yay!

Roni I feel your pain! After just going through a week of stupid studying anxiety, I finally am feeling relieved. You will feel that way so soon! Hang in there buddy! Study study study and then you're done and can relax a little!

Good luck with finding gifts. I can't think what to get some of my coworkers, either! It stinks! Let me know what you choose!

Oh Bennie, believe me, it's headed your way!! HAHA! Don't worry though, we'll take the brunt of it for you ;) HAHA! It's already started here and it's supposed to go ALL NIGHT! They're anticipating up to a foot of snow for us tonight =/ It usually leaves us and heads over to CT. Hey speaking of CT, have you ever been to Stamford? If so, do you like it there? Just curious =)

Enjoy baking the dog biscuits =) And great job with the luncheon!!

Hi Gretyl - I live in Stamford - born and raised here.

Haha, so I'll take that as you like the area? I'm not sure what I want to know about it, really. Do you have lots of outdoor areas? City festivals? What's the overall culture like? Ok, I know you guys are near the water, too...how is that?

I've applied for a couple jobs there and I would always love an "insider" perspective =) It would only mean us moving about 4 hours or so, so we're really considering CT now, too. And I love the convenience to the city. I'm not certain about moving to the city, but I'd love to be closer.

Mmm, chocolate covered pretzels. Those are definitely a weakness of mine. Sigh.

I don't really *want* to take the brunt, but it's part of living here I guess- HAHA! Which is actually one of the considerations for moving! I love winter and never wanna move back south where there aren't any, but I also think I could use a little less winter - HAHA! No more snow belt would be nice ;) It seems you guys have a it a bit milder over there! Not much nicer, but I'll take any bit I can get - HAHA! We've found even moving an hour south would considerably change our winter weather - and that's nuts!

Well, yes, we are by the water/shore but it is Long Island Sound so we don't get any waves - per se - but there are some nice views.
