Good morning buddies! Happy Boxing Day to any of our international friends who may celebrate it (I don't know if the commonwealth celebrates it, so I'm playing it safe ![]()
Does anyone have anything wonderful planned for today? I leave in about 20 minutes for work. Then I get to have a relaxing day tomorrow.
Well, now that Christmas is kind of over - it's time to get back on the bandwagon. I totally gave in to my cravings this week. Just stopped fighting it. The diet the doctor put me on threw me for a loop and I gave up when I gave it up. But now it's a new day, new effort. I've decided instead of going high-protein low-carb, I'm going to use the glycemic index for my ruler. And that means if I pair foods right, I should be able to eat pretty much anything I want. I just have to remember that high GI foods have to be eaten in very small quantities, and only with low GI foods as an accompaniment. I can also look for ways to create my own variations on things to drop the GI levels (like making my own ice cream without added sugar). That's my effort for now.
What are you up to?

Good Morning Meme-
I did the same thing with eating whatever I wanted to the last couple of days, but I will try to better today.

Happy Boxing Day (yes, we have that in Canada), Meme! I have already been up since 4am, and every Christmas thing is taken down, boxed up and almost put away! YAY!! Feels like I can really clean this house good now, and then settle into my vacation time. aaaahhhhhhhhh
I am going to go to a mall today. Insane, I realize, but I received some gift cards and am dying to buy some clothes for myself. And be one of the calm, normal people in the madding crowds. ;o) Should burn tons of calories even if I don't find anything. I am looking forward to it, I need it. LOL
Hope your work day is fun and easy, Meme!! Hugs,
