Hi Everyone!
I'm Maggie, I'm 24, and I'm new! I used to lurk around the WW boards, but I found I could not stick to WW with my busy schedule.

I decided to try Nutrisystem this time.. Has anyone here done nutrisystem or have any advice? I'd love to hear anything you think might help me! I'm really determined this time to lose some weight and get healthy. My husband and I would like to start a family sometime within the next year or 2, and in order to do that, I have to work on myself.

Thanks, everyone! Have a blessed and happy New Year!

Hi, Maggie!

I've never tried Nutrisystem because it's not in my budget, but if I could, I'd be really tempted.

Hi Maggie, welcome! It's great that you want to lose the weight before starting a family - and what a great motivator, too, right?

I've never done the Nutrisystem plan because it seems kinda pricey for me and because I really wanted to learn to fix the bad eating habits that got me so overweight in the first place. Hopefully that will help me keep it off long term. That and I love to cook too much for it- HAHA!

But I must admit, those commercials and the success those people have make it so tempting! Definitely let us know how it works for you!

Welcome again!

Thanks so much for replying and helping me to feel welcome! :)

The main reason I decided to spend the money and try nutrisystem is because I am a high school teacher and work an hour away from home.

I always have to eat breakfast on the run, and lunchtime at school is not friendly. By the time I get home and actually do cook dinner, it's very late, and then who has time to prepare for tomorrow's lunch?

I thought it would be a good way to make smarter morning choices, as well as an easy way to get a healthy lunch without any planning time. I only plan to do the nutrisystem plan for a little while, until I can get a handle on my hectic schedule.

All that about my crazy schedule being said, does anyone have any kind of sneaky way i can get some exercise??

Hi Maggie welcome to the buddie board.I didn't do Nutrisystem but my mom and my sil both did.My mom did very well on it and lost 40lbs but my sil couldn't do it because she says the food is gross.it's all dehydrated. So it just depends on who you ask I guess.I wish you great success if thats the route you go.Welcome again;)

Hi Maggie! Welcome!! I've never done Nutrisystem. The food just doesn't look very appealing. I've known people who've had success with it. Weight Watchers has been very successful. I do the online program because my crazy schedule does not give me opportunities to go to meetings during the week and I am not willing to get up early on Saturday unless I have to! :)

I've lurked on the WW boards and have not found them very friendly. Other than that, I love WW online.

Welcome again! Good luck with Nutrisystem! Looking forward to getting to know you!

Okay, I KNOW about hectic schedules (I work full-time in curriculum development at a college an hour away, am a part-time college student, have a 15yo daughter on numerous sports teams, and a hubby that works out of town a lot so I do almost everyhting)...SO, the easiest way I have found to exercise (because I NEED it for de-stressing above all else) is to do dvds at home, or hop on the treadmill that is in my basement. If you concentrate on all of the positive benefits of exercise and eliminate excuses, you'll get it done. If it's a priority, you will do it, no questions.

Aside from that, walk everywhere you can, do a LOT of stairs if possible during your work day, do squats or lunges while waiting for the microwave to warm your lunch...anything you can think of. It all helps.

Hope to be hearing about your exercise triumphs before long. ;o)
