Whew! I'm glad to be on this morning. I was in the middle of posting last night when my computer choked. I don't know if it was iVillage or not, but I think it was -- everything else seemed to be working okay. I just couldn't get anything to work here. Did anybuddy else run into that?
Hey, guess what?! It's Loseday Tuesday! Sure, it's not Christmas or New Year's Eve, but it's still a festive day! :o) What would you like to lose today?
My plan: I plan to lose a little off of every portion today. I'm going to think about how much I want or how much I'd normally eat, and I'm going to shave a little off or leave a little behind. That's the plan!

We are going to try to lose the mess in my room both at home and the apartment today. I also want to loose the mindset I have that creates those messes. Gotta get ready for school, ya know?
I weighed myself on my father's scale. I'm really hoping the difference in clothes and the two scales is the reason for the weight where it said it was, and not the fact I'm actually there. :-( Well I bought a new 'health' book, those usually help me solidify healthy choices, so I'm thinking I'm going to do my best these next few weeks.
I am going to go donate plasma sometime this week. I'm not sure why it's called donate if they pay me for it, but oh well... It works for me.
Well, time to leave for work. I'll catch up on everyone at my lunch break! :-D

I am losing my "holiday food" attitude.

Hiya!
Happy loseday. To be honest Im not sure what to lose. But guess what?! I threw out my birthday cake!!!! My birthday was last thursday and saturday my mom had an nice dinner for me and cake. I suprisingly only had one meatball sandwich and one serving of salad. Yes one slice of cake. Took about a third home with me. I knew that Bill wouldn't eat it but I really wanted to have one more slice for me. Last night we were cleaning out the fridge and I said "Alright it can go!" hehe. Woooo will power!
This morning I did get up early to eat my breakfast. I sat in bed while Radar stared me down like he was expecting some of it hehe. Im hoping to keep this up. Breakfast is important and its one thing I feel I need to start doing more regularly.
Yesterday I did a half hour walk at lunch and after work just like I had planned. I walk for a half hour, no counting laps. I don't count because my mind wanders off too much so I lose count. And if I set a timer its just easier to keep going til it goes off.
While I am walking, I do my best thinking and when I was walking last night it got me thinking about some things. One of the things was about when I used to walk years ago (like it was that long ago?!! lol) Between my junior year of highschool and right before I went to Gwynedd mercy College I walked EVERYWHERE. In HS on the weekends Id always hae to walk to the store, and to get to school I walked for about 20 mins to get up and back from school. In the summers I went to the track each day and walked. When I went to Eastern University I had to walk 2 miles to get there from the bus stop (i am not kidding here and that is the reason I did not stay after the first year). When I started at community college (yes I changed schools alot) I continued the track in the mornings alternating with the small gym and I took walks after dinner in the summers.
Needless to say I walked alot, and this is when I kept my weight down. I was also very sick apart of this time, towards the end. But walking did a tremendous job taking away the weight. I'd like to get back to that point where my body can handle walking several miles and not be bothered by it. Im still young and there's no reason why I shouldnt right? As long as I get my balance of nutrients so I don't starve myself and plenty of rest....

Happy Loseday Karen!! I'm sorry to hear that you were having computer problems last night and very happy to see you here today! :) What am I going to lose today??? I am going to lose my self-doubting attitude. Even though I have made good progress the last few months, I am still afraid at times that I am going to hit another plateau, get frustrated & gain the weight back like I have before, but that is another post. LOL
