Helloooooooo, Buddies!
I wasn't able to get in here yesterday - between all the time I spent out and Dan's constant use of the computer (grrr), I didn't even get to check my email until about 5 minutes ago!
Anyway - I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day. We had so much fun meeting K for lunch. I took her a little bag of goodies and a dozen ring-shaped treats (don't want to tempt anyone) for her friends. We ended up spending the bulk of the afternoon together, and it was great. Dan was so sweet. He's very creative for Valentine's day - leaving little surprises around for me to find. I love it. The best one was a string of heart shaped lights around my vanity mirror. Who needs flowers and diamonds when you can have heart shaped lights? LOL (I love them!)
So, even though it's a day late, Happy Valentine's day! I love you bunches, Buddies! (I wish I could go around the board and put a George Clooney Valentine on each of your desks. Now that's love!)
What are your plans for today? I have to catch up on the board first, and then look through my email. Then, I have to work on the taxes....ew. Both girls need them done early, so they can use the info to apply for financial aid for college. Yes, I'm so very close to being the mother of two college students....wow. Tonight I'm looking forward to the start of The Amazing Race! Also, I have to strap my walking shoes back on. I missed yesterday entirely!
Have a wonderful day!

Good morning, K!! Awwww, Dan needs to teach Wayne a thing or two about romance! I LOVE the heart-shaped lights!! Wayne and I did nothing special, no cards or gifts, but had a whole lazy day together. I ate way too much and it showed on the scale this morning, but lots of water and sensible choices will make that one day of indulging disappear from memory by tomorrow or Tues.
Thanks for the reminder about AR!!!! Well, not a reminder since I didn't even know about it, but you know what I mean!LOL I will get on the treadmill today for at least 45min. And drink a ton of water/herbal tea (it's REALLY too cold here this week). I also need to get some kind of understanding of the material in my stats class (OY!!).
Have a fantabulous day, buddy (all my buddies)!!

Good Afternoon Karen-
I did finally wish DH a Happy Valentine's Day last night about 8:30pm, but that was the extent of our holiday.
Today the boys and I went to church this morning, over to my mom's for lunch and then stopped at the store since Logan was another birthday party to go to on Saturady.

Hey buddies!
I have not been good the past couple days, but I know it's a special weekend for Todd and myself (we really love to celebrate Valentine's Day). I tried to be good with breakfast and lunch yesterday since my dinner was about 2 days of calories - oy! It was so worth it though. I'm only up about a pound from what I've been this week. Despite me being very good I kept gaining weight this past week, so that didn't make me very motivated to be good over the weekend, but I tried!
Now, the holiday is over and there's not a thing going on here until we leave for vacation in March. So we're in the home stretch and I need to get serious here! I have three weeks! The first week will be tough because of AF, but that won't stop me! My motivation is high!
Hope all your buddies are doing well! It's cold here, so stay warm and bundled buddies!!

I've fallen off the band wagon as well.
Do you have any idea what you are going to do this week or work on? I was thinking abs for me since that's the area I seemed to have the hardest time with anyway.

(((Mary))) -
I'm sorry you and DH didn't get to be together more.

Dan and I love Valentine's Day as well, and I definitely left the bus for a couple of days of celebrating.

It sounds like you had a great one, too, Karen! I have to imagine going on Friday was a good idea! We did that last year, went out the day before just to avoid the crowds. It was a lot of fun that way!
I love celebrating Valentine's Day - even if it means not going out or doing anything big. I made a huge meal (lobster, steak, fancy salad, garlic mashed taters, creamed spinach, etc.) and we stayed in but it was so much fun! We made a point of bringing up all our favorite moments from the last year. And I love any day that gets me roses! I know it has the hype of being so commercial, but any day that reminds a couple to remember all the great things in their relationship can't be bad in my mind!
But you're right! Those pounds had better watch out! It's time to get down to business!!
