How was everyone's July 4th??? Need to recover and rest today, or does the party continue? heehee What are you all up to today?

I think today I will do some shopping for some capris that FIT. I bought a ton last year that fit beautifully when I was a size 18/20...but now even 16s are flopping off me. I LOVE what losing 30 pounds does to a body...I just wish my clothes would shrink along with me!! ;o) Wish me luck in finding some good deals!

Have a happy day, my buddies!! Eat well, drink plenty of water, be active. Hugs,

Hi,

That's awesome, Roni! That has to be such a good feeling! I hope you had a successful shopping trip!

I am recovering from too much sun yesterday. I'm in central Texas where we've already had umpteen days over 100. I FINALLY went to my neighborhood pool yesterday. DH came with me for moral support. (I felt uncomfortable being seen in my bathing suit.) I thought I'd take just a quick dip so I only put sunscreen on my face, figuring the rest of me would be underwater. But it was so pleasant there that DH says we were there for over an hour. Stupidly, my back and shoulders got roasted. In the evening we went with friends to Auditorium Shores for the Austin Symphony and city fireworks display. It was very hot and humid - and crowded - but the fireworks, especially the finale, were really great. Unfortunately, the bus for the way home didn't seem to be running on the usual route (even though the bus company told me they were, argh!) and we wound up walking over a mile (carrying backpacks, folding chairs, tote bags, you get the picture...) before we stopped at a restaurant and called a cab. I wasn't a happy camper and tried to keep my grumpiness under wraps as much as possible. So today is some household chores, getting ready for the work week, drinking lots of water, and watching movies.

Hope you all had a good 4th and are staying hydrated!

~Cindy

Aww, that's so sweet! I hope it works out! DH and I have 3 rescue kitties that we adore (well, 2 actual rescues and 1 from the shelter.) We'd like to have a dog, too, but we already have jealousy and territory issues with the cats. Someday I see us getting a dog. We were watching the news this morning and a rep from the Humane Society was on with a 9-year-old cat and we were like, oh, we wish we could save them all (doggies included!)

Your post about napping with Radar was really sweet, too! Gotta love our fuzzy babies!

Hey, it sounds liked you burned more than your shoulders and back heeheehee, like, a LOT of calories throughout the day!! CONGRATS on going to the pool!! Always remember that people ONLY care what they themselves look like in a suit, not what anyone else looks like. Hope you have a lot more fun there this summer!

Wow what a day. I suggest tea bags for your back? Its this great treatment my mom did for me. You brew some tea bags, and when the water cools take the bags and lay them on your back. It helps relieve the sting from the burn. And plenty of aloe!

Thanks for the wishes for the pup. I still haven't heard anything I dont expect to now til tomorrow because its almost 6...so. We'll see!
