Looking for Diet Buddies

Hi! I am currently struggling with my weight and feel quite alone in my battle.
I just turned 40, my BMI says I am obese. (5ft2in, 205lbs.) My knees hurt,
I have no energy, and no will power. And as you can see I am depressed.
Will you allow me to join your group of wonderful women struggling and
succeeding with their weight loss goals?

I think WW has probably changed a lot since I was in it, so I'm not sure I'll be much help.

Hi There....We would love to have you join in with us.
Hi LZ,
I am so glad you are here! I've been struggling with losing weight and getting exercise, too, and while I'm still having difficulty, this group has definitely been a tremendous help. The support, the comfortable place to go, and making myself accountable here are what seem to help me the most. When I'm really in the zone I post what I've eaten every day. At first I didn't count calories or anything, I just put it all out there - to get in the habit and to make myself accountable. When I count calories it is a big help to post as a daily log. Since I joined a few months ago I've broken at least one bad habit, which was stopping for fast food on the way home from work. There were occasions when I had to log on toward the end of the work day calling out an SOS! Even if no one was on the board that very minute, knowing that I had like-minded women to reach out to was such a source of comfort and support. Now I have a healthy (sometimes "relatively" healthy) snack in the afternoon and wait til I get home for dinner. I still have many changes to make, I keep going up and down within the same 5 pounds, but at least have not gone over my starting weight and have crushed one bad habit. Baby steps!
Please know you are not alone! Thanks for being here!
~Cindy
