GOOD SUNDAY AFTERNOON, BUDDIES!!

Well, we've had an exciting/boring morning around here!  LOL  We had a tornado warning this morning, so we spent about half an hour under our basement stairs -- not the most entertaining or comfortable place, so we were a little bored, but that's sure better than it could have been!  No church for us this morning since the warning was announced for the time when we would have been on the road.  Now it's just gray and rainy outside.  If you need any rain, let me know.  We've got plenty!

I'm not sure what my plans for the rest of the day are.  A nap sounds good.  I need to put together a grocery list.  I'll be watching the finale of The Next Food Network Star tonight.  I think that's about it.  How is your Sunday shaping up, Buddies?

Have a wonderful, restful, full-of-happy Sunday, Buddies!!

Hello,

We'll take some of your rain but I'll pass on the tornado. Glad nothing came of it!

I, too, am about to make my grocery list and I will also be watching the Next Food Network Star finale tonight. Who are you rooting for? I love that Melissa was the underdog home cook and mom and she kicked butt! The first episode or two I thought Jeffery was the front runner but Bob's "vanilla" description is kind of true. I think he's going to do well regardless of whether he wins. Debbie blew it for herself. She could've had a great show. I've been wanting to learn more Asian cooking techniques and just got a Wok cookbook. More veggies!

I used to love making grocery lists, planning meals, and going to the grocery store. Now I hate it. Part of it is I haven't settled on a grocery store location since moving to our new house (er, um, a year and a half ago.) The closest stores are stores I don't like (one is right off the highway and even my little niece picked up on it right away that some scary people hang around there) and the others are Super Target, which I think it's kind of expensive, and Super Walmart, which doesn't carry some of our staples. I'm hoping our local grocery chain will someday build a location closer to home. Anyway, I shouldn't complain, we are blessed to live in a culture of abundance.

Sorry to be rambling today! (See, I'm putting off that grocery chore...)

I've already done my housework for the day, vacuuming, bathrooms, kitchen. So just one load of laundry to do (I'm trying to do one a day to keep it under control; it works!) DH and I will go to Home Depot and there's a used CD store I'd like to go to (called Cheapos!) Tonight I think is DVD movie night - Bullets Over Broadway.

Maybe we can just eat cereal this week and skip the grocery list! Ha!

Stay safe from those storms!

Best wishes to all!

That doesn't sound like the kind of excitement/boredom (LOL)

LOL You DO know how to stall making a grocery list. I kind of have the same problem with all of our grocery stores, too. The ones I like to go into are close but expensive...the
