Going on a trip - need some pointers

Hello! I am going out of town Wednesday with my family and am coming back on Monday. I am helping my brother move and doing some sight seeing so I will be moderately active, but whenever I travel I tend to eat... a lot! Partly because when I'm home, I'm limited to what I have in my own kitchen, which is primarily healthy food. At a restaurant, all of the yummy food is so tempting! Also, it's hard to order a salad when everyone else is having French fries and burgers. Any advice?

I know this is coming way late but the ONLY way to stay in control is to keep your GOALS foremost in your mind. If the french fries are more of a priority than your goals (and DO think of it that way), then go for the fries. If your goals are more important, the choice is easy. WHO CARES what everyone else around you is doing. Easier said than done, I know, but SO worthwhile when you see the results of your amazing choices.
I hope the vacation was fun and that you found a way to eat sensibly but satisfyingly!
