GOOD THURSDAY MORNING, BUDDIES!

I can't believe I never got back yesterday.  This week has been one long run to the finish line, and I'm not quite there yet.  I'm going to post here, take J to college, come back and grade a few million papers, shower/dress for class, pick J up from college and take her out for dinner, teach my class, and drive us both home.  I'm out of breath just typing about it!

Soooooooo, what's happening in your lives, my buddies?  I hope you've been having a good week so far.  I've missed having more time with you.  Hopefully next week will be easier.

Today is THIRSTday!!  It's a great day for that around here because the temps have gone up again, and I'm really glugging down the water.  Hard to believe I was wearing a jacket last week and having fall fever.

Have a terrific day, everybuddy.  Glug on!

((((HUGS)))) - Karen

This Thursday was different than most. When I was at the office & DH semi-retired and working at home, he took over weekly floor cleaning and has still been doing it. When I changed clothes to get on the treadmill while he did the floors I thought "this is ridiculous - I could burn calories pushing the vacuum & a mop". He's busy with work in the basement, but reluctantly handed over the job to me. Not a problem, I did them for 25 year before I got an outside job. He actually skipped a lot of corner with cat hair that drove me nuts, but was not going to complain - LOL.

Afternoon reading tutoring is done, deciding what project to do next. I have taken to walking on treadmill for 30 min. while watching new series on TV in the evening.

BLT's with heirloom tomatoes from our garden tonight - mmmm.

Oy Karen, I have no idea how you manage to make it through that sorta day - makes my head hurt just thinking about it.

My days have been boring recently. I got a temp job but that ends on Friday and I have nothing in the works for the meantime. Time is ticking away closer to me finding out bar results. A lot of states have already found out their results - NY is just slow (maybe the slowest?) I haven't had much luck finding a permanent job, but I'm not gonna sweat it. The new puppy (Sebastian) has been a lot of fun, though. I can't remember life without a dog, anymore!

I was staying nice and low on my weight not gaining at all - I was either stressing about the bar or getting a job or finishing the house and I just didn't seem to eat as poorly. Then I started growing content and holy cow the weight started creeping up. With the temp job though, I've been back on a schedule and the gaining has stopped. Now I've finally added in running again, so we'll see where that takes me. Hopefully it starts to go down. I need to get my dinners in check though!

At my highest, I was back up to 173 (I haven't weighed in in the last week or so) - and I want to get to 155 eventually, so I updated my ticker to reflect that. I wish I were more motivated to do this, but I've really been struggling lately. All my energy goes into not gaining rather than worrying about losing more.

I'll keep on trying, though! Sorry for getting off track - figured I'd update myself in this post =)

You know, I can kind of understand how you'd struggle for a while after the bar exam.

The house is coming along well - looks nice. It's basically done, but there are "long-term" projects we want to work toward. For instance, finishing the basement, etc. We painted every room except the kitchen - and I love the colors we chose. And tomorrow we're getting a new washer/dryer, so I'm very happy about that!

And I will definitely let the board know how I did on the bar. You all still have your fingers crossed, right? =)
